Matter of fact, it seemed pretty clear that most White Americans had a problem with Rev. Jeremiah Wright highlighting the history of American "terrorism" up to and including the killing innocent people in Iraq.
I can not argue for the war in Iraq, as i agree that the American public was led to war on false pretenses. The fact that hundreds of thousands of Iraqi (women and children) died to promote an agenda is repulsive to me. It appears that i am not in the white America that you keep arguing against and i keep arguing for. As a white looking native, i just do not see the bigotry that i see expressed on this site. It appears that I may be ignorant of many factors that you are talking/dealing with. I just deal with my experiences in work and life. In my family and work, race is not a factor, performance is. I apologize if i came off harsh, and don't really get it, but i just have issues when race/nationality is used. For example, the only racists cunt i deal with is my secretary, and she has no power, the people that have the power, do not care if you are white, black, asian, ect. My boss does not even care about money, his main thing is to treat people right. I totally concede to the point you are making and kind of understand the points on this site(i will never totally understand because i do not have to live as a minority). Even though i do not agree with 99% of your political agenda, i think about my secretary and kind of get where you are coming from. Also i am a numbers fucktard and believe in numbers. If black America is 13% of the population, why are only 5% of fortune 500 CEO's black. I take this time to apologize. I will still not backtrack on my ideals though. Democrats blow ass, Republicans blow ass, the constitution is what we need to follow. Go Bob and Wayne (even though you are kowtowing to the democrats on so many issues) I will not lie, i am still against most government assistance programs. I may live in la-la land but i feel that peoples hardships should be handled through the local government. I know it seems harsh, but in my opinion local communities will come through and help those in need. If your local community does not want to help you, you have not been a good person. I hate the government, and what you sound like to me is you want an expansion of federal government programs. Fuck the IRS - It is illegal (1913 be damned) - Save for yourself and your children. Fuck No child left behind- That just makes teachers meet standards. Fuck SSN - Anyone under 23 should be able to invest tax free with no limit(see irs rule) With no IRS individuals can save money in a HSA. If we cant get rid of the IRS let people go above 12% of income to pay for their health. Lets give this country back to individuals, not corporations that care more about the bottom line then the customers they serve. This is a two edged sword though. What is to stop corporations from reaming people if there is no regulation ? I say business. I think a true capitalist society can exist if we just have informed consumers. Governments are inherently evil, large corporations are inherently evil, it is time for people to becomes informed and run this economy. If we do not, government or corporate America will enslave us all.

Their only interest is their own f*cking azz and they are even too stupid or too lazy to get informed before they support something (eg war on Iraq) or oppose something (eg Affirmative Action). But they can be really silent when it comes to so-called "Black issues" like police brutality, because white Americans aren't concerned that their tax money is used for state sanctioned murder and to support a corrupt justice system.
Listener, the majority of Obama's supporters are White. Obama didn't get as far as he has in this campaign with only Black supporters. So I think your opinions about White voters, as others have pointed out, are in conflict with reality. The reality is that White voters are demonstrating an interest in desiring change. They have realized that supporting the Iraq war was a mistake. And they are ready for a different type of leadership. That's what the polls are showing. Obama has outpaced all of his opponents in the primaries, and I believe he's going to outpace McCain. McCain is so pathetic that he had to use no-talent Paris Hilton and other irrelevant icons in his campaign to increase his number of supporters. How unbelievably sad. When I first saw that I ad, I felt sorry for him. This election is now officially over. I don't even know why McCain is still running. Republicans are now talking about their needing someone else, other than McCain, to go up against Obama in the general election.

And, once again, because of your experiences, you have no basis for ever coming here talking about affirmative action as "another form of racism against the white male." And, since Listener (who is white and female, btw) specifically talked about the Iraq war and specifically talk about "most" White people... you had no basis for your comment to her either.

First off i could not care it Listener is Red or white or black or green or yellow or purple. It is sad that someone as educated as you holds such animosity against certain people that it overtakes reason. It is sad that it is o.k by you to give preferential treatment to groups over others based on race. i really want to know what me as a person has ever done to hold you back in your life ?

My but you play the race card well! You haven't seen any indicators that Nmaginate "holds such animosity against certain people", but you continue to utter this fecal matter repeatedly because you and glenn beck find it easier to keep bleating like dumb sheep than look at the facts. You attempted to argue against affirmative action, while at the same time PURPOSELY ignoring the preferential treatment of the country's majority population, and when that failed, you began acting like the dumb f*cktard you claim to be like you don't understand numbers. Further, your schizophrenic attempt to present yourself as Native American is pretty ridiculous when you're asking people LAME questions like "what me as a person has ever done blah blah blah".

calling you ridiculous for misrepresenting the role you play in society is not "ripping on your heritage". If you got 2 white parents, describe yourself as "white looking" and you are on this website asking AFRICAN AMERICANS what "has" a person like you ever done....as if you are a member of the dominant society, then you ripping your own heritage.

0 points. You don't get to assign any labels to anyone except yourself. You don't get to tell people what ethnic label they must take and you don't get to assign people a political persuasion. You would do well simply to focus on your own uninformed self. I highly doubt you even know what a socialist is beyond what Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity told you and you began bleating it afterwards...

Very funny. I hate both of them assholes and laugh at their agenda. But then again i would assume that the main stream media should tell you how to react to neo-con bullshit. If it is any importance to you i follow the constitution and what it stands for. I do not care what fucking bill O reilly or doochbag Hannity has to say, i actually believe in what Hamilton,Madison,Jay have said. I am sorry that you are so taken over by mainstream media. Please pick up a book and read once in a while. For example read the following Constitution Bill Of rights Federalist Papers It is amazing how much they had to say relates to today's world. The Faux news CNN bullshit is funny because you sound like you are eating from the hand of the media that you are mocking. Sorry man but Olberman is not on your side, he is just trying to make news reporting the exact opposite of Bill Oreilly. They are both Murdachs puppets. If you cant even bother to read the people that made the laws of this country, you can comment

quote: First off i could not care it Listener is Red or white or black or green or yellow or purple.
You're the one who responded to her talking about how she was "jaded" given her supposed need "to generalize a race based on the actions of a few people." It must be "the KKK" in you because when it comes to logic, your response was illogical. First, Listener talking about "most white Americans" doesn't generalize about a "race." White Americans don't constitute a "race" especially when someone from another part of the world (Listener) is a part of said "race" which, obviously, isn't limited to people from the USA. Second, you equivocated. Unless you dispute what Listener had to say regarding the Iraq war and Affirmative Action then you can't "contradict" her point with some undisclosed bs about 1.6 billion a year. quote: It is sad that someone as educated as you holds such animosity against certain people that it overtakes reason. My supposed "animosity against certain people" like which certain people? quote: It is sad that it is o.k by you to give preferential treatment to groups over others based on race. No, clearly without links to other places in cyberspace where you have spoken out against the Michigan Indian Tuition Waivers... against those 1200+ white students who were admitted to U or M when Jennifer Gratz was denied... against the 15% of white teens accepted into elite colleges when they didn't meet minimum standards... against limiting quotas against high achieving Asian-Americans that often benefit Whites... No, clearly you are the one who is OKAY with Whites not only being given preferences through a number of non-affirmative action means but given how you've framed your opposition to affirmative action in "race" terms... you're obviously OKAY with and give your stamp of approval to Whites benefiting from affirmative action via WHITE women and WHITE men (who are vets, disabled or non-traditional students). You're here on AfricanAmerica.org because your opposition to affirmative action has to deal with your anti-black views. Again, your issues with the term African-American shows that that's what it's all about with you. You actually was stupid enough to type that canned bs about a white South African... You grabbed a big bucket of paint, a big ass brush and went to painting. Until you can show me how every single scholarship for Polish-Americans require the applicant/recipient to have "seen the country" or to have been to Poland... there is nothing else left to describe you disparaging the idea of an African-American scholarship when so-called African-Americans just don't happen to have a connection to their cultural heritage the way their Polish-American counterparts to. So it really says something about you when you take swipes and have gripes against people whose situation isn't exactly like that of a Pollack through no fault of their own. You want to disparage so-called Black people because "when some pollack applies for a scholarship, it is based on his heritage not on his race." I'll ask you again: What is the heritage of so-called Black people? "African-Americans"? Since it's conceivable that a Pollack can receive a Polish-American scholarship without having to have seen or gone to Poland... then what was your with the eligibility of the "black [dude] from Ohio"?? Since you're not coming up with those links... it's safe to say that you haven't talked this kind of sh*t to Pollacks saying only people born in Poland and now happen to live in "America" are the only "actual" Polish-Americans. quote: i really want to know what me as a person has ever done to hold you back in your life ? And you really don't know where I've said anything about you personally holding me back "in my life." You know, "it's sad that someone as educated as you" say so much stuff that either has no reason or basis in fact or is the product of the most faulty kind of reasoning.

That's not the same requirement you have for a Pollack who can receive a Polish-American scholarship both without being born in Poland or having had to have "seen" the country. Thanks for painting yourself as a racist dumbazz. Being racist should be bad enough but keep trying to show just how much of a racist dumbazz and a dumbazz racist you are. Note again, how you didn't separate the Pollack from being Polish on this idea of having to be born in a place to have a heritage from the place. So we're left with nothing else but your racism or race issues to explain why you apply different standards to African-Americans, so-called Black Americans who you once tried to dictate to and tell them not that they/we are Black Americans but, simply, American. So not only are you a dumbazz racist... You're a confused one too. Hilarious is right... and underwhelming too.

I didn't ask you about your great grandmother. None of this has anything to do with your great grandmother. You didn't care where the dude from Ohio great grandmother was from. You made his eligibility contingent not on where his ancestors were born but on where he was born you racist dumbfuck!!! Look at your little racist double-standards. The question isn't hard. I'll rephrase it again: What is ancestor derived heritage/nationality of the so-called Black people? You know, the ones you refer to when you talk about the racism in the past and you "paying" for it even though the Michigan Indian Tuition Waiver exists which means you didn't necessary have to pay a thing. Plus your dumbazz claims everything is merit based at the company you work for so not only has no one here said that you have to "pay" but from none of the things in your heritage or experience have you had to pay. So it's nothing but run of the mill bs from the mind of a racist that you're sharing with us.

Jlokes quote: I cannot even imagine what has made you so jaded against the world, that you need to generalize a race based on the actions of a few people. Have we not realized that this has caused problems in the past.
America continues causing problems in the present. Your voting system is a white American voting system, and I am not interested in how much confused Americans donate who "care" (what an irony). It needs an understanding of basic facts and also history and that wars are not just some pictures on CNN for bored Americans who even don't know that Africa or Europe are continents and not countries, and many white Americans display a severe lack of this basic understanding. It also needs a democratic understanding and an understanding of solidarity. According a poll many Americans even don't know any more who allegedly attacked the WTC, they believe it was Hussein. And white reactions when it comes to Rev. Wright is proof enough for the childish, whining and hysterical non-intelligence of white people who don't have a clue, who don't want to have a clue and who give a sh*t about facts. White hysteria that Obama could be a Muslim, their issues with his middle name, idiotic stories that he could be a communist etc. also displays the inability of a white majority; they are not able to vote or make decisions based on facts.

So then, you're admitting that voters have matured. And by the way, Iraqis weren't the only people who suffered losses in the war. quote: and who else besides the-joke ljokes points out that I am "in conflict with reality". I am not defending white people as much as I am pointing out an error in your statement about voters. Listen, you've been a member of this forum long enough to know that this is a forum for intelligent people. You are not talking to a group of people who are easily impressed simply because some white person talks negatively about other white people. That doesn't impress me at all. In fact, it's common and trite. I'm more impressed when someone is clear about what she or he is saying and can formulate an intelligent and well-informed statement. So please pay attention to what you're saying and be clear about the points you make in your statements, because others are paying very close attention. You said that normally you are a supporter of a participatory democracy, but when it comes to White America, you're not so sure about it, because you don't think White Americans have the maturity to vote. You did not mention the time period in which you are talking about voters. Therefore, I assumed that you were talking about today's voters, rather than lamenting about votes that took place seven years ago. Perhaps you should have been more specific and clear. It is of no consequence, because, apparently, today's voters have shown growth and maturity. Today's voters are a lot more informed, and they've witnessed the devastation that this war has caused not just Iraqi citizens, but also American citizens and families who suffered from tragic lossess in the war. What's more, they've realized that this war is unsuccessful and it has been economically taxing for everyone, particularly when it comes to the rising costs of oil. Therefore, you were clearly mistaken in your intitial statements about today's voters. That is the point that I was making. All that nonsense about defending white people, white America, and whatever, is irrelevant.

no, I didn't say this quote: And by the way, Iraqis weren't the only people in the war who suffered losses in the war.

I am talking about today's white voters, and participatory democracy is more than just voting. It needs democratic skills, a profound knowledge about past and present and also a profound knowledge about the reality of one's own country and also knowledge about the impact of the foreign politics of one's own country. White America as a collective lack these skills and I am very clear about this. People with illusions about their own country, like America is a meritocracy, no longer racist, 'reverse discrimination' etc., will make their decisions based on their illusions. quote: What's more, they've realized that this war is unsuccessful and it has been economically taxing for everyone, particularly when it comes to the rising costs of oil.
and this isn't maturity or becoming more informed about the war in Iraq. One reaction now because of rising oil prices is for example to go back to nuclear power... It's all about money and how to keep up such a high living standard which will finally destroy all natural resources, if nuclear power doesn't do this before. Tell me, where this shows any maturity. Maturity includes to understand the impact of one's own actions.
