I was at the beach by 5:30 am, and I gotta say, it was COLD as. . .well, it was cold. Smile

Anyway, after running for 45 minutes [to warm up] and freezing my backside off had finally come to an end, I commenced to snapping pics.

Check it out [if you haven't already]. . .

I like the fifth picture the best. I am viewing them at work and the video card is less than desirable, so I will get a better view when I get home.

I can hear the ocean roar

Well that picture is so much the ocean. It is right after the wave broke on the beach and you can hear that shiiiiissshhh as the foam laps on the beach before retreating. And the colors around the horizon are so crisp, it feels early in the morning, but it does not 'feel' cold (them picturs of the birds feel a little cold).

That is, I think my next adventure, to take a picture in the bright January sunshine so crisp that looking at the picture makes you want to eat some soup.

Okay, I like number 7 the best, it is actually very sensual. The receding wave, the coming swell, the still wet beach, it has breath, you can feel it exhale. That is a wonderful picture.

Wow. Thank you. 4

Again, you have a way with words. . .

& I'm really enjoying the view from your perspective. I hadn't thought of it that way but now that you mention it, I can dig it. Smile
