It's seems that everyday I learn something important or at least note worthy. So since this is a place where I can run my mouth without problem, I'll start sharing some of my newly acquired lessons.

27 April, 2006:

Today I learned to appreciate the little things. My new guyfriend(Big Grin) talked me into calling in 'sick', so that we could hang out. We had so much fun and we didn't even do anything big. This morning after calling in sick and asking for friends to cover for me in class(**this is bad, you should always go to class!**) he came over and 'made' me breakfast(yogurt, banannas, o.j and toasted bagels), then we walked around my neighborhood, he picked me a flower from this old lady's garden(he asked permissionSmile) Anyway up until about an half hour ago we had been watching every sappy movie I own. We had so much fun! It's true you don't have to spend money to have the best times Smile!

Girl that is so cool, that is what I am doing for the weekend with my boyfriend. He is picking me up from work and we are making the hour drive to his house and just hang out in the house. I think I will cook for him too. I even have a picnic planned. Much respect sista.

I'm a little behind so let me catch up...

April 28, 2006

I learned that you can only ignore something so long. After my fantastic day with my guy, I went back to work and my co-worker told me that a guy had been in asking for me. He left his name and number...it was my father. I haven't spoken to him since Nov. I plan to keep it that way.

I learned to have a little bit more patience with people. I go really mad at my mother and it turns out that I shouldn't have. Don't worry I did apologize.

Behind again...

I learned to be quiet and listen to the voices around you. You learn a lot when your quiet.

If you do it right the first time you don't have to redo it over and over again. I learned it at work...I had to help three parents re-enroll their children in the daycare because they didn't do it right the first time.

You can't control people's actions. Let's just say I've had a trying few days. First I had to do my major finals this week (still not over got one more tomorrow morning) then my friend is acting crazy. but I can't focus on that. So I let him pout.

Lesson Learned: shake all the stresses off and do for you. I finished my last final today, so I don't have to go to class tomorrow. I called my friend and we talked and he still pouted, suprisingly I still don't care(won't let myself care) I'm going out tonight to a little get together with friends. I plan to keep shaking things off and be worried about me and mine.

It's been a while so I'll start from today...

August 08, 2006

Today's lesson is to accept that you can't have everything you want no matter how hard you pray or how much you want it...because sometimes it just isn't meant for you to have all of that.

Lesson Learned: Let someone else take the lead sometimes. Today and everyday for the past month and a half, basically since I annouced my wedding, I have been bombarded with lists, attitudes, worries, STRESS, and more lists. Today my fiance decided to surprise me. He came by early this morning and made me breakfast in bed, after taking all the phones off the hook and calling our parents so that they could take over wedding plans. Anyway he arranged for me to have a type of spa day with my two best friends. My body is so relaxed right now.

Lesson Learned: Work out your issuses. I've been sort of...kind of pissed at my husband for the last couple of days. He started it by getting upset that I had taken a small chunk of money from our savings to help my little brother buy a car, at the time I didn't understand what the big deal was. I figured it will get put back and it's not like we're in need of it right now. Now that I think about it was bad on my part because I should have discussed it with him first and gotten his opinion on what to do. So tomorrow in order to make amends I plan to go back to the dealership, with my husband, retract the offer I made on the car and look for a "cheaper" one, with my husbands input. See working through my issuses.

April 30th

Lesson Learned: Today I learned the real reason for our emergency/rain day fund. Today my car wouldn't start and I ended up having to call in to work. The family "shade-tree" mechanic says that I need a new starter. Like I knew what the klink-klink-klank was when I started the car was Roll Eyes. Oh well, at least I have the money for all that as well as to get my car a complete check up.

Today is really what I learned yesterday...
August 22nd, 2007:

I am truly blessed. I saw an old friend, actually this girl used to be my best friend until she started dating and talking about marrying this a--hole. Anyway I saw her and we started talking and I spent a whole hour listening to her talk about how she'd gotten married and her life was "good, but..."
When she finally got around to asking how I was I couldn't help but smile and say I was blessed. I told her about my marriage, about my change in majors, about how I was actually content even almost happy in every aspect of my life. My old friend looked at me for a while before smiling briefly and hugging me and leaving. I really have realized that I am truly blessed. Smile
