The Black Madonna. Well, there's
a topic some people don't want us
black people to hear about.



One of the Most sacred icons of
the Catholic Church are the Black
Madonna and Christ child. They are
found in Europe's most venerated
shrines and cathedrals.



Every year, millions of European
pilgrims humble themselves before
the image of Black Mary and her
chld Jesus at the Black Madonna
sites throughout France,
Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium,
Portugal, and other Catholic countries.



In Poland, The Church encourages believers
to pray to the Black Madonna of
Czestcohowa every morning before
rising. Pilgrims throughout the
ages have visited Black Madonna
sites and have become inspired,
confident, relieved and even
healed.



Dig this, There are over 300 documented
Madonna sites in France. Sometimes
the black Madonna's are hidden in
vaults, while the publically displayed
Madonna's are shown with European
features. That is so backwards.
The Black Madonna should always
be in the spotlight. I enjoy seeing
the true representation of what it
really is.
