----- Fellas, how would you react if your fiancee said that she'd like for you to change your surname upon marriage. Perhaps to both of your names hyphenated together. Thompson-Williams. Or a change to a new name that combines the two. Johnson+Benjamin=Benson or James+Lee=Jamesly or Smith+Long=Lith Or a change to a made up name that has nothing to do with your surnames. Insertmadeupnamehere. So that the both of you would have a new name. Would you? What if she wanted for only you to change your name. To hers. Would you consider it? Probably depends on her reasons for the request. The answer would definitely be no if it boiled down to a feminist rationalization.
