Was there a Mystery Behind Integration?
Was integration meant for bad for the Black America? Why did the US govt. after years of slavey and segregation all of sudden wanted to integrate? Do you really think it was King and Malcolm and others before them. Or was it a movement that the US govt. ran with? Was integration forced upon Black America? Did crack also play a role in integration? I been thinking about this topic for a long time. Don't get my wrong I'm not trying to say Segregation was good. Because it wasn't at all. But I think there was a higher plot behind Integration. That not even King or Malcolm notice. Did we really want to integrate or did we just want better life in America? With having to integrate. Is it just me. I hope not. Have any of you went back into history and notice. That before integration Blacks had better schools, Business and better communities. It wasn't equal to White's. But we were doing a lot more better education, Business and Community wise. Then in some areas in today's time. Then all of sudden integration comes in. Then Black areas all seem to go down the drain. End up being unliveable places. Was there a higher Mystery Behind Integration? |

Another context in which to view integration is that of the so called "Cold War". Segregation was a real (public relations) obstacle to the US claiming the moral high ground in its global ideological contest with the Soviet Union. In fact, in the Brown v. Board of Education case, the Justice Department filed briefs with the Supreme Court making precisely this point. That we couldn't continue segregation at home and masquerade around the world as the good guys.
Just a thought... |
