Is this not one of the hottest women on the face of the earth? In my opinion she is. And she can rock a Sitar. music

.......excuse me, brothers, but I had to sit there for a minute and just stare into that woman's eyes. Just look at that broad nose, that moca skin, those perfect lips, those determined eyebrows, and those gemstone-like eyes.....

Anoushka Shankar: A Concert for the Late George Harrison.

Anoushka is very easy on the eyes. My, my. eyes

She's Ravi Shankar's daughter...and the half-sister of multi-Grammy winner Norah Jones (who's a great pianist/singer-songwriter in her own right).

Has she ever been to Atlanta? If she's touring there, I'll try my best to get some tickets.

I swear, Anoushka looks so much like this green-eyed sista, 2 or 3 years older than I, that was my choir director back in church. One day she came by to visit me to remind me of rehearsal times, and my friends (who played basketball with me in my backyard) couldn't believe their eyes when they saw this hottie of a woman, taking the time out of her schedule to remind me of choir rehearsal. appl

I'm diggin' that Zanzibar scene. I haven't been there in a minute. But them chicks they were showing on stage cannot compare to Anoushka. Can any of those chicks play a Sitar? Do any of those chicks have an Ivy League degree? Other than that woman the dude interviewed that looked like Kimora Lee Simmons, and she looked better than the contestants on stage by the way, none of those women I saw on that stage had a captivating face like Anoushka. But like I've always said I have a soft spot for Indian women.

Okay, those women were very sexy but baliwood is a racist bunch of assholes just like Hollywood. Their whole selection of women are lightest skinned women they could find - basically white women with dark hair. It's the women with more ethnic features(broad nose, full lips, light brown skin, thick, wild hair etc.) that turns me the hell on.

I am SO going to a Bollywood film festival in the future...don't know when, but I will when I can afford a plane ticket.

That's true, India do promote light-skinned actors and actresses, just like the telenovelas on Univision and other Latino TV programming. Too many light, bright and dang-near actresses like the ones from the video clips, and not enough more darker-skinned Indian actresses like Bipasha Basu, Nandita Das, Ayesha Dharker and Parminder Nagra from "Bend It Like Beckham" and "ER" fame.

I heard that Will Smith was supposed to make a film with Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai. I know that black actors, as well as dark-skinned Indian actors, aren't respected or given negative roles in many Bollywood films, but maybe Will can be a 21st century Sidney Poitier and make change over there.

As soon as I read this, I thought Aishwarya Rai.

M.I.A. is fine as hell and she can rap pretty good for a Sri Lankan. I loves me some Sri Lankan chicks too. Don't go in public around a Sri Lankan or an Indian and say this or they'll kick your ass but they're all the same to me. Sri Lankans have slightly different facial features and their accent is slightly more 'southern' than East Indians but they are sexy just the same.

Yeah....notice how I spelled it Baliwood instead of Bollywood. Them motherfuckers are just as bad if not worse than the Japanese about asimilating white culture. Bollywood just sounds too westernized and Balawood (Bala: young girl) didn't sound so catchy, so I spell it Baliwood.

* Kinda similar of folks not getting Mexican mixed up with Puerto Rican, Cuban or Dominican, despite that they're all Latinos. Sri Lankans, Indians, Pakistanis, and even Bangladeshis are all South Asians, or "desis"---just don't get them mixed up with each other. ---Huey
