Hey Guys!
I'm sure everyone is familliar with the
online argument situations that I'm about to mention...

Sometimes people have difficulty understanding what you mean and they might tell you off.
But when you do explain in 3 paragraphs, they go "ohh that's what you meant" and the conversation continues pleasantly.

However there are some spoilsports at bulletin boards in general that have no resilience capability for internet arguments so they go
"I make a lot of sense but you don't so I'm leaving now bye bye bye.It was fun."
What the....?I mean really they are just doing that just to make themselves look good during a "retreat". Anyone can see through their hidden agenda thoroughly.

Another frequent tactic used when one cannot make any more sense in a religious argument is to deny the name of the religion. For example,if the topic is about Abraham and Judaism,the other party who has nothing to say anymore will KEEP on insisting that you are referring to Christianity and not Judaism because only Christianity mentions Abraham(yeah right)

But here's the best. What is worse than a troll? Someone who falsely accuses someone else of being a troll of course. If you're new to a forum and then you make some strong arguments, the other person with a bunch of his goons will start saying "Flamebait!Flamebait!Don't answer him.He's a troll."

Now c'mon . I know everyone has differing opinions but just because they can't get the upper hand does that mean they should resort to such a dirty tactic? These are one of the few reasons why I never get involved in internet arguements anymore. I'm not referring to anyone here because I know everyone here are nice people. I just want to ask;Has anyone experienced any of these incidents?
Want to describe them here and so that you can let out some pent-up anger from the past?

Communication "face to face" is difficult enough but throw some people behind a screen and they get a newfound sense of confidence and brilliance. I have experienced all that you have mentioned especially incidents when a person says or pastes something that doesn't make sense and you ask for clarification.
The name calling doesn't bother me b/c I try not to get upset over a screen name and I just doubt those types would do that to a persons face. (I have a strong dislike for cowards)
You mention strong and different opinions and I would like to add cultural differences and upbringing to that mix.
A lot of boards have members from different countries that post different articles about Africa; you ask them to explain.....and you pretty much see the responses. If you want me to reframe my thinking, give me something more than an article to ponder, throw in some person beliefs, issues, experiences etc.
If I don't agree that doesn't mean I'm a sellout or don't care about the ancestry.
I would go into how people treat threads about politics (heaven forbid you don't like "their boy" for candidate), or the self-professed leaders of blacks world-wide, that preach that bs, but as soon as you disagree with thier ideology but we don't have all day....
