How do you wear your hair?

Locs, Fades, Afro, Flattop, Corn Rows, High and Tight?

Anyone go bald?

Anyone out there still wear Gerry-Curls?

Ever do anything crazy with your hair? Like a Mohawk or Spikes?

Have you ever colored your hair?

What hair products do you use, if any?

Do you have trouble finding a place that knows how to do Black hair?

Care to share your worst hair experience?

yeah Bald is what's happenning.

Kresge, your pic looks like you have a full beard. I had one, but recently went to a goatee. It requires a little more work in the morning, but it looks cleaner, makes me look younger, and I couldn't get over the idea that my full beard just kinda stopped on the side of my head ... it wasn't connected to anything. I'm still in the "cut it short enough to camouflage it" state of denial... I'm just too lazy to add another activity to the morning routine, so I'm delaying the regular head-shave as long as I can...

I have noticed that I get much more favorable treatment with the trim-beard look. I get noticeably more attraction from women, and people in general seem to take me more seriously. sck

Umm... how do u post a picture that's not on the internet?

If you have a digital image you just upload it: Add the jpeg to your post as an attachment.

I don't think that Kresge's pic is an attachment... It's an actual image that's a page on AA.org...

Correct me if I am wrong, but an attachment would not actually show up until you click on it... Yes?

How'd you do THAT Kresge?

Peace,

Yes, that is from a AA.org page. However, you can show a picture by adding an attachment and then linking it.

no sir, but it seem to be a prerequisite for our city bus drivers.

Yes, spikes by complete accident. I was a black Billy Idol for about a month.

I make my own.

Do you have trouble finding a place that knows how to do Black hair?

Only when I travel to small towns on business like Pocatello ID.

Back in the day I wanted to cut the curls off and get a high top fade. I was in a hurry because me and my boys were on our way to this park in Dallas to hang out.

One of them suggested that we go over to the cosmotology (sp) college since it was on the way. Long story short, this brotha that cut my hair messed it up bad, I mean real bad.

I should've told him just to cut it all off, but I just wore a hat instead until I could get to another barber.

My friends rode me all day about that haircut. They would just look at me and start laughing. They talked about me so bad, it was shameful.

Okay
1. Click "Add Attachment."
2. Click "Browse"
3. Find the file that you wish to upload on your computer.
4. Put in a description if you wish
5. Click "Post Now"
6. When the picture appears in the post, right click and copy image location.
7. Reopen your post to Edit it, click on the image icon, and for the url, paste the image location you just copied.
8. Click "Post Now" again.

This is a brute force way to do it.

I don't think the original poster can, but subsequent poster just copy the image location from the picture displayed and put in the image url.

I keep it low cut year round.

No. But I'm old enough to have sported an afro when I was a child. My mother occasionally did cornrows. Yes. I was 'tenderheaded' ...

No.

Moving to a new town is always traumatic in this regard.

But I have a good place now. I'm a regular. They know the routine.

Speaking of moving to a new place ... I once temporarily relocated to a small town - it was mainly known for being the site of an airforce base.

I couldn't find a black barber to save my life.

I wound up letting a white dude cut my hair.

Nuff said. Frown

Let a white woman do my hair, once. Same scenario. This was in the UK. Have you all ever noticed that Afro-American women have the best hair styles?

Our people have made the mistake of confusing the methods with the objectives. As long as we agree on objectives, we should never fall out with each other just because we believe in different methods, or tactics, or strategy. We have to keep in mind at all times that we are not fighting for separation. We are fighting for recognition as free humans in this society
