Peace...

I love a woman who is in touch with her femininity. I find a masculine female to be completely repulsive. I want zero percent Tom Boy in a woman.

Some brothers like a physical challenge in a woman...Why on Earth would any real man, want a woman who can occassionally out match him in strength?

Some men reject women who are to "Girlie". But Why?

Of course there are those who carry misconceptions about very feminine women such as:

They are weak and needy.
They are high maintennance.
They are shallow.

I disagree with these assessments.

Can anyone make a case for a woman other than a feminine one?

What do you consider a "masculine" woman? Surely you mean more than just a woman with physical strength.

In all things there must be balance..... Yin/Yang....

A woman may be very much in tune in with her femininity.... but that doesn't mean she loses her strength..... especially in this world.... a woman needs some armour to protect her.... The world is full of wolves....... ya know??

A woman should allow those parts of her that make her feminine to be exposed only to those who she feels is worthy.... one who will care for what she has to offer..... one who earns it....

At any rate..... I see femininity as a gift..... A gift that is protected.... and I see nothing wrong with a woman having both....

A little fire and smoke for those who would jump too quickly to claim the prize.....

Bow down... (humble yourself)..... Cover your eyes (or behold the sting for not being able to control your curiosity)...... Tread carefully around the living glow.... (or get burned because you didn't appreciate its intensity)

Peace,
Virtue

I think the question is like asking: Can a woman be to much of a woman" NO, just like a man can't be to much a man, its what he is.Its only when one tries to become the other that problems arise

OK you define tomboys as lacking feminity, thanks for sharing Kai. Smile

I'm not a girlie-girl and I don't want to be Razz even though being petite and 51kg I look like one, lol.

I believe women are able to be 100% woman, and part tomboy, without losing their feminity.

Is a woman less feminine if she can climb a ladder and paint a ceiling.... gut and scale fresh fish in the kitchen, hammer the odd nail, use a garden saw, or dig up a garden and add manure?

Most likely she is making a house a home, cooking a fabulous meal with love and fresh ingredients, and enjoys being in the garden with nature pruning, and planting a tree or a new season of vegetables or flowers to enjoy.

I like the flexibility of wearing a sleek short black dress and heels one day, a business suit or hiking boots and shorts the next, or chinese silk kimono, jeans and paint-stained shirt. Dancing, doing business, hiking, slinking, making art.

IMO, femininity is how a woman reacts to her man (and the special people around her)... and how he reacts to her.

My personal view is femininity is not just about how she looks - to me feminity is about women's ability to be nurturing and loving, giving and receiving. Isn't that the essense? It's not about tottering around in stilletto's, lip gloss, and short skirts or fluttering eyelashes and never speaking up.

Masculinity in a man? To me, a man who is strong inside, confident without being arrogant, has a generous and open heart is truely masculine to me.

Again, what do men mean by this exactly? How does a woman "try to become" a man?

Of course I mean more than a woman with physical strength. We all possess strength. I am specifically speaking of women who condition themselves to physically dominate men. I am in support of women who are capable of defending themselves, however, I am one of those who frown upon women in the weight room, who train specifically to build massive muscles.

I understand that my preferences are not every mans preference, and I respect this...However. I fail to understand why a man would want anything less than a woman who accepts her natural engineering.

Confused Then it seems you ARE talking solely about a woman's physical strength. Not sure why you brought in tomboys, though.

You seem to have answered your own question. I assume that, just as it is for women, it's a matter of one's personal taste. Furthermore, women do not have a uniform body type. Some women can naturally snap some of you guys in half. Just as not all men are naturally buff.

In any event, thanks for answering.

Wolves you say? Grrr...(laughing)

My dear, you mistake my statement to mean that women should possess no strength at all. To be strong is to be feminine...There is great power in the feminine sphere of life. The female loses power when she fails to realize in what arena her greatest strength lies. A man's power is not the same variety as a woman's.

I sense great power in you....I always have...Ya Know?? Something tells me that you do know....

A woman cannot help but to expose her feminine aspects when she is in her true form. Even under a veil her feminine power unmasks itself, and flies in the face of everything male in the environment.

A true man earns the feminine beauty of every woman simply by being. To appreciate, and stand in awe, is a far cry from "having"....Do not be stingy beloved...Share....(smiling)

She must have both...She is both. Strength, and beauty, interwined...together..all up in there...

I am always ready to bow at the foot of a woman who recognizes the power within self....And so I humbly bow...And now I rise....Now my sweet...You Bow Down to Me....

(frowning).... A man's existence does not "earn" anything but what it is .... existing... anything sweeter desired for man in his life... has to be worked for and proven worthy.... you desire to attain the fruit of the tree which has not been planted.... sigh.... you can barely till the ground... I like women with muscles. In particular, a woman who weight trains usally shows a commitment to health in general, which is also attractive. I'm not the least bit intimidated by buff women.

I'm not sure that I understand this statement. Women are naturally engineered with muscles.

Of course..It is the meat of the topic at hand. While the female and male are created for one another, there should be space between them. The masculine should be secure within itself, as should the feminine.

quote:
Ahh yes... wolf.... beast...the part of you that thinks for the rest of you.....

No....You are mistaken...The wolf is the agent of the thinker..he preys upon the object of my desire...Every man needs the courage to seek out, and trap those things which He desires..To deny the beast, is to make a tragic mistake, worthy of imprisonment...It is wise to find the beast, capture it, and then unleash it as the circumstance requires. The Beast is a good servant..But a poor master.

quote:
Any power that you sense is only by my submission to a Power within... A power that you possess as well.... No need to sense...... it is how we are all created....

Considered well...

So you must go hungry.....

Again you miss the mark. Must I earn the Beauty of the Dawn..Or the song of the wind? The woman is a gift to man..Her mere existence gives joy to the mindful. For the wise, appreciation is the inspiration for work. Would we work to attain the woman if we were not first admirers of Her?

quote:
Science lesson: Where there is immense heat.... a cool place will not exist very long......

yes...But remember that the inverse is just as true...

One dimensional eh?

Let me show you that there is more to it than just that....

Stolen from another forum...

quote:

Once upon a time in a land far away, a beautiful, independent, self-assured princess happened upon a frog as she sat contemplating political issues on the shores of an unpolluted pond in a verdant meadow near her castle.

A frog hopped into the princess' lap and said: " Elegant Lady, I was once a handsome prince, until an evil witch cast a spell upon me. One kiss from you, however, and I will turn back into the dapper, young prince that I am and then, my sweet, we can marry and set up housekeeping in your castle with my mother, where you can prepare my meals, clean my clothes, bear my children, and forever feel grateful and happy doing so. "

That night, as the princess dined sumptuously on lightly sautéed frog legs seasoned in a white wine and onion cream sauce, she chuckled and said to herself: "I don't freakin think so!"
