I guess I am growing tired of women defining themselves, i.e. Monique, as thick without even being remotely close to the brother's definition. Maybe we can help them out, help them understand, and at the same time helping ourselves too. lol

RR, I must commend you on your, erm, your research on the definition of thickness. Yes, there's definitely a gigantic difference between thickness and obesity.

Well, um, this woman does not consider Monique to be 'thick', she is obese.

Understanding Your Body Fat Percentage

While I don't subscribe to the use of BMI to determine obesity (doesn't consider body composition), I would still bypass 'thick' and go straight to obese as she appears to be well over 30% BF. I'm just sayin' . . . 9

Edit: Okay I just re-read the title. I know I'm not a brother, but, er uh, a brother down the hall asked me to post his thoughts. 1

Um, only if I get to cheat. You see, if I post my pics from 2005, I'm thick. If I post my pics from this morning, I'm fat as hell. 1

I have, but I merely seek to examine your findings, and to commend you on your outstanding research. Not only have you posed an eminently relevant question -- concerning thickness -- but you have approached this issue by going directly to the single issue most key to the question: the bootay. Ingenious. Ditto Kresge. appl

thank you. the next level of research will ponder the question...can she make it clap?? I'm scoping out the proper video samples for this newly popular ability. I hope to have my finding published in the Den shortly.

I'll have to agree with the findings that the gap makes the overall posterior much, much nicer!!! Also, I now see confirmation to exactly why a brother should pursue the apple bottoms and avoid the flat ironed ones. Thank you for the research data information. tfro

It's more politically correct for a brother to say that a sistah is "thick" rather than utilize the "O" or the "F" word. lol

Got no love for politicians
Or that crazy scene in D.C.
It's just a power mad town
But the time is ripe for changes
There's a growing feeling
That taking a chance on a new kind of vision is due

I used to trust the media
To tell me the truth, tell us the truth
But now I've seen the payoffs
Everywhere I look
Who do you trust when everyone's a crook?

Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
(There's a) Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through
