Have you every been asked a question such as "What is your Nationality?" I mean when i was first asked this question i was taken by surprised that a black person such as myself would asked that? How would you respond to that person? Does this have anything to do with enviroment that i live in (South Florida).

When I was younger people would often walk up to me and say, "What are you??" to which I would respond, "An human being".

If you're living in South Florida(Miami I take it??) which is a multi-ethnic area then questions of that nature are bound to pop up. |

Yes. I usually just say "Soy estadounidense", or "Soy gringo" for short. My wife tells me that I'm supposed to answer "Soy canadiennse", but I always forget.

No one ask me that anymore as a kid many asked if I was Jamaican. I currently do not have a nationality, so I'm simply Black.
