Indecision (or the Jedi Mind Trick)!!!!

When we ask you:

"Where would you like to eat"
"Do you mind if I go the game/hang out with the fellas"
"Do you want me to go to (insert place/event here)?"

Please give a clear & definitive answer. We don't like being looked at crossed-eyed because you said:

"Wherever you want to go is fine"
"Go hang out"
"No, it's fine if you don't want to go"

and we make a choice that you're really not happy with, even though you gave the appearance of being fine with whatever we decide.

Housework ...

I don't mind doing housework. I do, on the other hand, mind when I am doing laundry, your explaining to me the finer point of doing laundry [from the couch]. I've been doing it for better than 35 years. I think I have it down.

But if the way I do it REALLY bothers you, take over the task, I can always move on to other chores.

... If I take the telephone message on the successful delivery of a new baby to the family or to a friend, be content with:
a) it's a boy or a girl, and
b) everybody is alright.

Don't expect me to remember the baby's height and weight, time of day/night delivery, how long she was in labor, how long she labored before needing an epidural, blah, blah, blah.

If that detail is critically important, you should have answered the phone.
