I am re-reading a book now called "The Truth of God", and I am learning much about how there is a history of defining God through anthropomorphic means... as well as the mischaracterization of God in the bible and Holy Quran....
I was so inspired I wrote several poems about the first two chapters of the book The book is available at this site: The Truth of God Here is poem 1: The Truth of God Chapter One: A homeless people.... having strayed far from our home... of sturdy righteous foundations built by our own.. Remember the skylight center dome where the light shone? Usurped by builders of a deceptive craft... resting our minds blindly in spiritual daft... Opening the door to an invisible abode... using the immaterial key of the philosopher's code... Divinely transcending into a downward abyss... in shocking complacency though the wise aren't remiss... to see the shabby foundation built by the ancient savant trinity... where we are tricked to live in a domicile of incorporeality... Xenophanes laid the foundational stone... yet it wasn't secure enough to proclaim a victorious throne... abstract and elusive concepts of the familiar... yet retaining the last vestiges of an anthropomorphic anterior... Plato with mortar in the form of the good... yet absent of God, defeat would not be claimed like it should... But the Body of Glory would soon be repressed... replaced by a dualism of only spirit and flesh... wholistic ties of the two gone forever.... life's atom reduced to egg hunts of a frivolous endeavor... Aristotle heralds the death knell of mind... The Unmoved mover ironically moving through current space and time... Closing the gap for this notorious three... spreading the intellectually suffocating sealant of philosophy..... But Lo and Hark... As we sit on no chairs... in this invisible house we so love... and spy a man who animatedly yells from the immaterial roof above... Touch me he says... and feel your kin... remove yourself from this incorporeal sin... rise and be blessed.... accept your own... you are real... you are God... now accept your true throne.... Read from my wise scientists... they have worked diligently for you... commencing with one in particular... His work is true... His work is true.. His work is true... Salaam... Sister Kia Here is a synopsis of the second chapter: Truth of God Chapter Two in verse: The "True" Griot bequeaths stories of ancestral pedigree The Prophets are our progenitors of consanguinity..... Current stasis is a deceptively prismal view our sojourn here culminates concurrent epochs of time we once knew... Our forefathers' deciphered whispers become vociferous testimony... To the truth of God's reality made manifest in theophanies... With somatic form and feelings He can love and make war though anthropopathic characteristics do not describe him at the core... Duality within degrees of separation elevated from norms of human emotions marking the divine demarcation.... In the midst of three Abraham called forth his Lord easily As Balak received admonishment for miscontruing the divinity in Allah's proclamations carelessly... While the Son of Beeri took in the extent of His mercy... Ezekial beheld him in all his glory... The fiery God of genius and transcendence Of compassion and fury and corporeal elegance.... He is real and He has been here our forefathers knew the luminous divine cloaked in gold speckled blue... ~Sis. Kia~ Peace, Khalliqa "The Goddess emerges as the evanescence of the inferior dissipates.... " |
