On November 10, 2006, the Wilkes-Barre Chapter 2306 saw fit to initiate an Literary Award, and...
to make me it first recipient. The award was for 'The African American Ethnicity', and 'Manumission' published by The IAANH Publishing Company. The award was presented at the Branch's annual fundraiser dinner which this year focused on youth, and feature the establishment of the first Student Chapter at the Luzerne County Community College The event was well attended by young adults. For me that is special. It is also a great step forward for the Wilkes-Barre Branch. The Branch's President, Ron Felton, is a very dedicated man who is not willing to give up. He is a true role model in our community.
