I will tell you what is still good to me. Black Music (Jazz) is still good to me. Always has been, always will be. Why is the entertainment forces of ameri-kkk-a, along with various Black folk, killing Jazz or allowing it to die? Why are we, Black folk, allowing a true art form that started in this country, by us, to just die off? Jazz is the most accepted music around the world and it was started by Black folk although europeans still try to take the credit. Not even R&B is accepted internationaly as is Jazz. The europeans in this country tried to circumvent Black music (Jazz) with 'west coast jazz' and now 'cool jazz'. I have nothing against either but Black Jazz is boss and we must support our music. We Blacks have always relinquishing things we either invented or initiated and eventually lose out in the process. Either by force or by choice. R&B was replaced by R&R. The Beatle's and Rolling Stones made more money (in this country) than almost all of the R&B groups (in that era) put together. In fact, the majority of the R&B artist died nearly broke. The same is true of Black Jazz artist. Who made the money? Certainly not the Black artist. The european record owner, agents and

Michael Jackson (I use to be a fan) bought the rights to the Beatles music and the europeans vilified him (with his help) because they consider the Beatles their icon, not his. The company Michael bought is worth untold millions upon millions and they want those million kept in the european community, not the Black community. Michael, who did many things to change his Afrikan identity to look european, has either learned or should have learned that he will never be accepted as anything other than a 'Black" icon. Had he gone to jail as planned, the europeans would have gotten their wish; recouping the rights to the Beatles empire. Poor Michael, will he ever learn? What to the Jackson's? How can a family fall apart like that? Religion, of course.

My brothers and sisters, do not allow our great artist such as Bird, Diz, Miles, Herbie, Billie, Ella, Sarah, Eckstein, The Count, The Duke, Satchmo, Bobby Hutcherson, Joe Henderson, Clifford, Blakey, Elvin, Dex, Trane, Ron Carter, Geo. Coleman, Prez, Coleman, Woody Shaw, Wayne, Milt, and countless other Black Jazz Musician and their legacy just die off by allowing our music to vanish!! Hip Hop and Rap artist make or have made a hell- of- a- lot more money than all of these musicians made put together and they (the hip hoppers and rappers) deserve less. With the filth and venomous disrespect they have spewed within the Black community, they deserve nothing more than a 'see ya later' send off for ever. Saving them from themselves will be hard but hopefully some of them, in the end, can be saved. The others, let them go to hell were they belong with their 'kind'.

Yes, Black music is still good to me. I am listening to Joe Henderson and Herbie as I write this and it makes me feel soooooooooooooo good it's just hard to describe. You brothers and sisters who buy and listen to Black music know exactly what I am talking about, don't you? Hotep Black Family, listen to www.wblr.com and learn the truth. See ya. OLU
