there's an interesting story about that (told by Saul Williams)... and I thought Kanye had changed the name of that song. Because the de Beers corp. came up with that slogan to sell, sell, sell diamonds on the backs of the miners in Sierra Leone.

What I know about it is in his vid. That ain't saying much. But the beat is cool. The track he laid down from the old school song is real tight. I'll read up on it.

Got no love for politicians
Or that crazy scene in D.C.
It's just a power mad town
But the time is ripe for changes
There's a growing feeling
That taking a chance on a new kind of vision is due

I used to trust the media
To tell me the truth, tell us the truth
But now I've seen the payoffs
Everywhere I look
Who do you trust when everyone's a crook?

Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Revolution calling you
(There's a) Revolution calling
Revolution calling
Gotta make a change
Gotta push, gotta push it on through

This sort of jazzy/soulful band called Jen Kearney and the Lost Onion. I just learned about them this week, but this sounds hot. The album is called "Eat," and the track I have on now is called "Pick Yourself Up." It features horns, live drums, keyboards, a harmonica a la S. Wonder, and a singer who souns a little bit like Jay Kay from Jamiroquai.

Ever thought about buying a memory stick, copying any mp3 files you have to it and plugging the memory stick into the USB port of your work PC? Windows Media should let you listen to what's on the memory stick. That's how I listen to my music. I have about 1000 songs with me right now and it takes up no more space than the size of a pack of gum.

To get back on topic, I'm listening to a House mix by local DJ Ron Pullman. music
