"Big Brother 9 cast revealed and I am disappointed"
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities

So finally at last the cast of the "hit" reality t.v show, Big Brother has revealed their new house guest. Here are the following names....

Adam is a 26 year old public relations manager from Del Ray Beach, Florida.

Alex is a 24 year old DJ company owner from Staten Island, New York.

Allison is a 28 year old pharmaceutical sales representative from Boston, Massachusetts.

Amanda is a 23 year old paralegal from Fridley, Minnesota.

Chelsea is a 21 year old college student from Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Jacob is a 23 year old electrician from Dallas, Georgia.

James is a 21 year old originally from Sarasota, Florida and is currently biking around the world.

Jen is a 26 year old bartender from Columbus, Ohio.

Joshuah is a 25 year old advertising media buyer from Dallas, Texas.

Matt is a 23 year old roofing foreman from Charleston, Massachusetts.

Natalie is a 28 year old bikini bar hand from Salem, Oregon.

Neil is a 29 year old Realtor from Los Angeles, California.

Parker is a 26 year old paparazzo from Northridge, California.

Ryan is a 27 year old college student from Columbus, Ohio.

Sharon is a 23 year old realtor from Olathe, Kansas.

Sheila is a 45 year old former model from Reseda, California.

I got to say that I am a little disappointed. Why you may ask? First off, once again the producers of Big Brother have limited their selection based off of race, due to the fact that Parker is the only African-American in the house hold. That is no different from Jameka being the only Black woman on in the house from last season. "Great selection of talent Big Brother". For other "reality t.v shows" like "Survivor" and "The Amazing Race" have a lot more to offer to people of different ethnic background. However, the producers of Big Brother must have this fear of having more than one African-American, Native-American, Latin-American and Asian-American in the house hold out shinning their favorites, the White house guest.

Call this reverse discrimination all you want for those of you who are reading this, but if you haven't been watching the shows season by season, the evidences is obvious. I suppose it will be a "White Christmas" after all, and that is not an understatement. The only person(s) I shall be rooting for is Parker (because he is Black and that is the damn truth) and Amanda, because I met her at the Big Brother 9 casting call. Once again, the Big Brother producers shallowness shines "White" and "Bright" for what they truly are. Seriously, would it have killed them to have more variety in people on a show like this? I know it all depends on the personality, but if that was the case, why is it that all of the other fifteen house guest are White, what are they saying here about the personalities of people of other races then? hmmm...After eight seasons of having one or two non-whites on the show, and the majority of course being White, has one to wonder what is the message here.

I have started a petition to hopefully persuade the producers of Big Brother in the future to select more of a diverse cast, not just of one color, religious/spirituality background, gender, occupation, etc. If any one is interested please sign the petition, if not don't even bother then. Thanks and God bless.
