Sorry if it's been discussed, but i couldn't find a thread about it. but, did anyone see that CNN two part special about being black in america? i taped it and then couldn't bring myself to watch it, since i already know what it's like. i'm not sure it was really for our benefit. but i get sick of non black hosts heading journalist voyages into the "horror" that is the black experience. thoughts?

It was ok. One segment was better than I thought it was going to be. It shouldn't matter if the host is black or non-black as long as they provide a professional, well documented and reasonably accurate story to the public. Just having black skin by itself does not guarantee this. Taylor Branch is an excellent example.
