If you haven't visited Emerging Minds.org yet (http://www.emergingminds.org), then you are missing out on one of the top destinations for Black people on the web, and the site has only been around for six months. This site has everything from poetry and artwork to politics and solutions we all can implement to improve our communiteis.
This magazine was founded and being maintained by a group of students from HBCU's Spelman and Florida A&M who have come togethere to form the Emerging Minds organization, and I must say they are doing a great job revolutionizing the flow of information on the Web for African Americans. These students and there advisors were able to launch this site with less than a $500.00 budget, but I gurantee you would never know that from looking at it. They have no corporate sponserhip and the site is 100% black owned and operated and will stay that way with your help. Dealing with such a small budget, they cannot yet afford paid advertising and the site is totally free for users. So, if you like the site, please spread the word to everyone you know so the site can grow. (Copy this and paste it in a email, then send it to everyone who would be interested!!!) Of course the magazine it is not for everyone, but I guess you never no. Just check it out for yourself, I'm sure you will be presently surprised.
