PRINCIPLE JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

Responsible for the support and maintenance for the following:

Retail and Wholesale Channel-For the retail channel this includes the systems supporting Web Station, Agent Workstation, Financial Planning, Broker Dealer, Policy Assignment, all e-business applications, including, EQ Access, eDOX, Transaction Supervision, Consolidated Statement, Reporting applications such as Report Center, Report Manager and Virtual Report Center. For the wholesale channel this includes the systems supporting the brokers, such as the Sales Desk, and Online Wholesaler.

Life & Annuity Service Center-For the Life and Annuity Services Centers responsible for supporting the IT related functions for the day to day operations this includes, NEWS, LUS/LDE, CAFÉ, NBFE, LIFE VRU, as well as the financial services systems, such as, collection, checks, etc.,

Life & Annuity Products-Responsible for all IT related systems supporting and maintaining existing Life and Annuity products. This includes maintenance of proposals, accounting and administrative systems, such as Life 70, CAPS, PARIS, and legacy outsource and vendor support.

JOB NATURE AND SCOPE

This positions reports to the SVP responsible for the support and maintenance of all applications across the company for all channels, products and services. The position demands setting and executing practices and procedures to continuously reduce departmental operational cost and improve quality of service thereby achieving a competitive advantage.

The position requires a Senior Technology Executive with support, maintenance and development experience in the insurance/financial services industry. The position also requires extensive knowledge of, financial Planning products, Financial Planning services, Life and Annuity products, Life and Annuity services, and related applications. In addition, extensive experience in all aspects of IT, including planning, strategy and execution as well as excellent leadership, communication and people skills. Specific technical skills include experience of Mainframe, Client Server and Web based technologies.

The position is directly responsible for 150 employees and accountable for a budget of approximately $50M (Pre Cap) providing support to the retail and wholesales channels. For the retail channel, this includes support for about 7,000 non-appointed brokers.
