Microsoft Africa's innovation centres

Well its great to hear about change as long as
it's the good kinda change. OH how refreshing to know
that things get better and don't stay the same. A lot of
people get bored with the same. Adventure is fun. Now
when we can change or create businesses in areas,
we can change other things for the better.

So I want you all to know that the Software
giant MIcrosoft has spoken about the fact that
they are building 4 innovation centers
in 2 years.

These centers will be as economic spark plugs
for innovators and local software industry.
These centers when launched off the ground
will provide 6,000 businesspeople
with technology they need to start up
businesses.

The new centers will provide a huge boost
in skills developmen in the local technology
industry. They will be set up with world
class facilities and support programs in
innovation, intellectual capital, technology
and business skills for start ups, software
developers, IT professionals,government,
and universities.

Their student to Business program will help
local companies find as well as hire
technology students. They will provide
qualification to qualified candidates.

TO go along with that Microsoft is
expanding its S2b job enablement programme
which assisted 1,000 graduates in finding
jobs in its first year in South Africa.

The goal of its S2b programme in the
country to make sure that the South
African workforce shows off the
diversity of the country.

Obviously, this is good.

Them that's got give. because they can.

It is significant to whom they choose to give.

The 'Gates Foundation' has assets in the billions of their own money.

They also have assets of at least 35 billion dollars from others.

The interest on those assets is therefore at least $40,000,000.00 per year FOR EVERY BILLION DOLLARS OF ASSETS.

Helping African nations is praise-worthy.

And I know that foundation gives to America's institutions.

I would like to see a more substantial investment in the ocmmunities of African Americans in a similar fashion.

By that, I mean in a manner that immediately counters the influences on the lives of our children, e.g. a program of immediate reward for academic achievement; a guarantee of college tuition for worthy academic performance, etc.

The resources of this foundation are such that these kinds of things could be done with at least one progran in African American communities of every city in the nation.

And without hampering the functionality of the foundation....AT ALL.

PEACE

African American
Pledge of Unity

We stand, Together, after left alone in a land we never knew. We Bind ourselves, Together, with the blood and will of Those who have gone before. From the Bodies of our Ancestors thrown away, from the Pieces of Ourselves left to perish, We rise as One, a New Body in a New Land, a New People in a New Nation. Of Common Mind, Body, and Spirit, By Declaration of our Amalgamated Individual and Personal Authorities, We Are African America.
