I'm waiting for those "Single Asian Females" links to come back around. flowers

I don't have much use for them links advertising for them fly-by-night distance learning colleges like phoenix and them others 'prestigeous' institutions of higher learning. 20

I don't need a loan.

I don't need a car.

I don't need a new camera.

But I guess I'll just click to knock your numbers up.

You know ...

I clicked on one of the "Black Art" links the other day. It lead me to a website called Grandpas Art. There, to my surprise, I found paintings by an artist by the name of Kenneth Gatewood, who I grew up with, went to school with, ran with the same crowd with, and tried like hell to date his older brother! Big Grin (With no success, unfortunately .. I was already the girlfriend of another member of the "clan".)

Anyway, Kenny was always drawing/doodling on things and was always good .. had natural talent and ability. After we graduated, he was asked to paint a mural on the wall of our high school. It was beautiful, and I always hoped he would take his talent and make it work for him ... rather than end up in a 9-to-5 just to make ends meet as so many artists have to do!

Well, now I see he is selling his paintings for hundreds and even thousands of dollars!! Eek I went on to read reviews that he has become very successful and is highly regarded in the art world! Eek I knew he could do it, and I'm really happy for him that he has.

I emailed him to see if he remembered me and since he's still staying in the old hood, the next time I get to L.A. we're going to catch up! Smile But, clicking those links you never know what you might find!! I found an old friend! Well, actually, more because many of the group are still around.

It's a big Internet, but still a small world, I guess!

Yes,

Those links have been the bomb...I know I try to click on a few new links every time I open up a topic! But I was really intrigued by this one:

When Does Affirmative Action End and Reverse Discrimination Begin?

I was like, "What What???? What's REALLY goin on?"

LOL...

It is interesting reading and I'd be interested in hearing you all's thoughts!

Immediately.

Affirmative Action is about race..., and discrimination.

That is its intent.

Let's not try to pretend it isn't.

Reverse discrimination is precisely what it is, and what it is intended to be.

The difference.

The difference is that it requires all entities to discrimate IN FAVOR of the African American-American.

Of course, everybody jumped on the bandwagon yelling 'Me too!! Me too!!

PEACE

I clicked a link that said The Real Barack Obama!! and got this! Eek Eek

quote:
From his radical stance on abortion to his prominence in the corruption scandals that has been virtually ignored by the mainstream media, Barack Obama is not fit to be Senator -- not to mention the next President of the United States.

Obama has declared his presidential intentions, but it is up to well-informed and energetic conservatives like you to spare our nation from the scourge of a far-left President Barack H. Obama.

I would be very careful about asking people to click on links because it is against the particular advertisers TOS.

"In order to ensure a good experience for users and advertisers, publishers may not request that users click the ads on their sites or rely on deceptive implementation methods to obtain clicks."

https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?an...urcestab&medium=link

You don't want to lose your account.

You might want to rephrase it in such a way as "Be sure to check out our advertisers!".
JMHO

By the way I love your site.

Thanks inadarkroom! Smile

But, for the record, I'm not a "publisher" (I'm not even sure what that is 19), nor an owner ... nor anybody in charge of anything that has to do with the board! The only thing I run around here is my mouth! Big Grin (And too much for some folk's taste I'm sure! Razz)

I'm just a "user." With a suggestion. Smile

I clicked a link that said "Biracial" ...

I'm not sure how long this video will stay up ... and I couldn't find any way to actually save it. But this was a perspective from a bi-racial individual that was unusual .. Jeff Mendes .. Being Biracial
