Everything we do is in imitation of Western society or the Euro mentality. Until we truly do for self, we really can't point fingers. We are all we have and we are all we have to blame now. Our children are suffering and we are losing generation after generation. Will we see when we are the last of our kind?

this needs to be on repeat......

please know that you may be talking to brick walls... some here love white people and are willing to forgive past sins to our people... well.. because it doesn't affect them anymore..... and a little subtle racism and access to euro booty means everything is alllllllright.....

any deeper concept relating to ties to our people is a concept complete lost on them....

Salaam..

The sell out of wanting to be "like massa" [the biggest criminal in the world]. As I said before the sell out is US....we sold out for the material things massa said would make us HAPPY. Now look at us...we sold out so much we can't even look our own children in the face...hell we're too scared-they might shoot us. Yep! We f**$#ed up. We sold out our children.....our future....very sad. fro

What about the Essence Awards, BET Awards, NAACP Image Awards and the Soul Train Awards? We have the awards, but unfortunately, it seems that the criteria to win or at least to get nominated for these awards is to show up black (or sometimes brown). Only the ones that are REALLY talented rarely win. For example, "Ugly Betty" won an Image award this past March for best sitcom. Despite that it's produced by Latinos, and has Vanessa Williams in the cast, it was the best comedy show of color at that time. Since 2001, for two or three years in a row, "The Parkers" won best comedy, and I'm like 17 How can this be best comedy, when it's basically just a TV version of Big Momma's House? We can do a lot better than this, if we get to green light/produce more shows, that have us in a more positive light. Maybe "House of Payne" will be nominated for next year, and give "Ugly Betty" a run for its money.
