We're going to do a show on male - female relationships in African America and I need one male and one female to represent your genders. We'll have a conversation about the various dynamics between men and women with regard to relationships, dating, marriage etc. You don't need to be an "expert" by any means - just have a point of view and be interested in sharing it with other members here on the radio.
Any takers? |

Can we volunteer people and then make requests of them? And although you ask for one each, there are brothers/sisters here that hold differing perspectives within their gender... How about 2 each? I'd like to see: 1. Male= Either "Audio Guy" or "One" representing one side and either "Radio Raheem" or "Ddouble" representing the other 2. Female= Either "ma'am"; "Negrospiritual"; "Rowe" or "Oshun Auset" or "Little Minx" (the females listed have a good mix of opposing viewpoints individually) What do you think? Or is there wisdom to your choice to limit it to one person per gender? Salaam.... Peace, Khalliqa "The Goddess emerges as the evanescence of the inferior dissipates.... " |

I'll know whether I'm available by Tuesday. Don't know if I represent the "other" side; I'd hate to see the talk get set up that way.

What a cool idea. But I'm too opinionated.

Doesn't the word dynamic have the same root as the word dynamite?

Would like to participate but I will be working. I have a crazy schedule right now. I think Rowe would be good, as well as all the others listed including Kalliqua

I wouldn't mind... but I'm not sure how reliable my schedule is to commit to something like this.... and personally I would feel more comfortable with another sister expressing her viewpoint, as I don't speak until I really have something to say in settings like this... and would not want dead air! That said, I have sent PM's to all I have nominated... Peace, Khalliqa "The Goddess emerges as the evanescence of the inferior dissipates.... " |

How about this idea: Use the people that the "audience" is obviously biased about and only wants to hear their thoughts and opinions on the subject. If that works out, then have a "PART II" version and I'll sure as hell nominate myself to speak my mind on your radio show.

Man quit tripping and step up. If you have strong opinions, state them and be prepared to defend them.
Who cares who suggested who, that's just one opinion. MBM asked for anyone that's interested. If that's you, volunteer! If you're a message board vet, you can handle the heat! ------------------------------ R.I.F. (Reading IS Fundamental)... Brother Michael is fair... which is why he wrote:
and this:
I agree with D.... If you're interested just sign up... Salaam.... Peace, Khalliqa "The Goddess emerges as the evanescence of the inferior dissipates.... " |

There's nothing to trip about. It doesn't matter that I have a strong opinion. What matters is politics. Obviously, I've shown my interest by posting my comments in this thread. If MBM wants me to participate I'm sure he/she knows how to contact me. Khaliqua: I guess Michael must be MBM. Anyways, I don't know him to know whether he's fair or not. Besides, it's not about him being fair or not it's about who's opinions his audience wants to hear. I'd rather be hated for what I am than loved for what I'm not. - Chuck D. |

I'm part of the audience Romulus and I want to hear your opinion.

Folks - I'm sensing that some are overthinking this in a major way. I'm just looking for some members to come and discuss their thoughts. There is no consideration of fair or unfair. There is no "stepping up". We're just talking.
I'm just interested in getting together a group of us who are willing to talk about some of the topics that have been discussed here in the Relationships forum. I want to have a conversation. That's it! Nobody will be on the "hot seat". Nobody will be "grilled". |

Absolutely no grilling at all? Darn! Not even if Khalliqa, msprettygirl, EbonyRose, Rowe, negrospiritual or Frenchy call in? You're killing my buzz man! ------------------------------ R.I.F. Since no one else has "stepped up to the plate" in this thread (not counting the ones that may have contacted you in pm) I'll throw a chip in the pot. I'd rather be hated for what I am than loved for what I'm not. - Chuck D. |

What does a "relationship expert" look like? I've yet to encounter one in any venue.
Look forward to hearing you on the show Romulus. ------------------------------ R.I.F. (Reading IS Fundamental)...
