Got an idea for a topic:
Self-Hate, and Self-Loathing, what do we really mean when we use these words to describe behaviors or individuals within africanamerica? Are we to take a literal meaning from these loaded words? The words are so frequently used until they are now a charicature of themselves. But what do they really mean? and in what situations are they appropriately used? If you could get them to call in, a good panel mix might be OA, Faheem, BV, Rowe, and Nmag a counter argument might be provided by some of our newer members... just a thought.. When we speak we are afraid our words will not be heard or welcomed. But when we are silent, we are still afraid. So it is better to speak Audre Lord |

Question: does not being "bombarded" with overt racism during childhood excuse black people from the need to understand the pervasive nature of white supremacy? i.e., people who didn't grow up in the south?
