While looking at some of the cooverage of the NAACP National Convention in Cinncinati, I noticed the array of flags behind the speakers podium.

I couldn't identify any, except The American Flag, of course.

And I had to look to find it.

Then it struck me that I didn't see a single flag even associated with 'us'.

Not even the flag of The African Diaspora...'The Red, Black, and Green'.

It may be there, but I didn't see it.

Of course, I would have loved to have seen The African American Flag...of my design.

But nothing????

Doesn't occur to anyone in authority for the event to put up...SOMETHING?????

Something to represent the 'colored people' the organization identifies...

I don't know what size flag is standard for the event, but for next year I am going to donate The African American Flag, of my design, to the organization for use at such events...,or as they/it sees fit.

PEACE

Jim Chester

Dear NAACP National Convention Committee Chair:

We of The Institute for African American National Heritage are pleased to present The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People a copy of The African American National Heritage Flag.

You might choose to use our flag at events where flags of the people(s) of our nation, and the world are appropriately displayed to represent their inclusion in the society in which we live.

Thank you for the years of service for the benefit of all Americans of unknown African ancestry.

PEACE

James Wesley Chester, President and Founder

Thank you for the link!!

I have not been aggressive about putting the flag I designed for the African America I define.

I did not see any flag representing we Americans of unknown African ancestry on the site.

My goal is not, and never has been, to challenge others who share my 'circumstance and history', but rather to inform as to the self-determination that can be exercise, and how and why I have done it.

My computer recently came near crashing...for the third time!!!

I am recovering and reestablishing data.

Images of the flag are among the data.

When I get that done, I will send a copy of the image to the web site you shared.

Thanks again.

PEACE
