Se Alafia Ni,
I know it has been said over and over again, but I want to say it too. Nothing will happen for us unless we do it for ourselves. A couple years ago I had the idea to try and start an organization to build us up. Of course had no clue as to what I was doing, not that I do now. But have grown some since. Since then I have done the paperwork etc, for a 501c3 for a Ile I was a part of, even though I have since parted company with them, has given me a little more experience. Am again thinking, nobody gonna do it for us, but us. I am again ready to jump both feet in, my dilemma, I may have the ability to speak, or rally motivate etc, but do not have the know how, to operate and how to put in place. What makes me again say these things (I know there are many orgs out there) but was watching access tv and listening to what was being said. Some were talking about marching because of this and that, one caller asked what is the purpose of marching, the answer was given to bring attention to the situation, hmmm I agree with that, but I ask whose attention do we want, surely the media can be to some sense a tool, but who are we trying to get the attention from, those in power? Me personally do not believe that those in power give a rats azz, you know the saying, (forgive me for my paraphrase) power only steps back in the face of a greater power, or power that is equal. So on the one hand the marches are good the rally s are good, But the attention I believe we need to seek is the attention of our own people, Not those in govt. not those who have power and will not change anything. I am sure some will disagree with me that is fine, but think about what was supposed to take place in the Million Man etc etc, were supposed to be organized etc, don't know if it did or didn't. But I pose to those who read this, yes again lets rally yes lets march, not to bring attention to those who will not relinquish power and fairness, but to gather ourselves to organize to be at this present time a govt, within this govt. to build economically, spiritually etc. again I do not have the expertise in things to be done only have an idea what is to be done.So with that I ask, If this would be something that anyone would be interested in. I am at this time in contemplation, Who would be in this, what is needed is people like myself, not educated (this is me) but those who have education and ability, those who know finances the running of buisnesses, etc, those who know how to promote economic developement for us and by us. Anyway from a few years ago I wil post what then was my dream, you may critique it and tell me what you think what is the best way to do etc, I adupe in Advance Ire Ifaleye |

This is from a couple yrs back
This is a sketch of my outline and plans and goals. This may not be in the order in which I hope to perpetuate, but these are some of my ideas. One of the things I propose is that we have our own govt. system. I also need to preface these goals if you will that they are long term they will not happen over night. I also propose that we need a national platform, because for these things to happen they need to happen on a nation wide scale. I do somewhat look to the coming elections but lets face it, this govt. has done relatively nothing for us up to this point so why believe they will now? What I see is a slave master relationship, where we depend on them and fall in line to their biddings. The problems we have as a people are only going to be fixed by us as a people. When I spoke of our own govt. system, I was speaking of a council of wise trustworthy men and women who are elected by us to represent us in matters involving or communities. This should be done in every black community in the united states. I also propose that as we organize it should be stated what are purposes and goals are. That is to organize our people to be self governed and self sufficient in all matters. As we get a platform I propose that we go to every wealthy black person in the US, not for donations but for investments. I propose that they work together a pool their resources, to open Black owned businesses in our communities, not chicken shacks, but grocery store chains nationwide in the black communities that can compete with all the major food store chains in America. Not only food store chains, but department store chains as well. We also need to develop businesses such as screw machine parts that can compete with other businesses as such to get contracts for companies such as black and decker, Maytag, and various other businesses that rely on these types of products. There are some Black owned development companies that should be awarded to bids etc. to build these places of businesses. My reason for going to the wealthy black people in America is because they have the means and resources. We are not asking for a handout as these places of business, will bring them profit but will provide jobs for us. We would even have them set up their own board members and accountants so they could keep track of there profits and losses. We would however ask that some would be set aside for community centers, where young and old could go to learn, we would ask that they would put money into education at these community centers for computers, and academic learning. And seeing that these would be not for profit organizations they would be tax write offs for them. I also propose that those of us who are somewhat compassionate, go to our youth who are wasting away in the streets and find out what it is they want to do in life, and then find the means to fund their education so that they can achieve their goals. Again I say we have to help ourselves the US govt. is not going to do this, now I am not simple enough not to realize that there are some programs in place already we need to know what they are and we need to make use of them. These are not all my thoughts only some. But we need to organize we need a platform, but first we need to organize. One we get somewhat organized, my goal is to use the media to reach as many people as possible. I will be contacting people such as Oprah, Montel, anyone who will give us air time. But the main thing is getting started getting a base or bases of operation. Again there is more to come these are just some points I wanted to bring up. So you can see what direction I intend to go in. thank you. Written by Ifaleye Ominiyi Ifaojewonyomi |

Again this is from a couple yrs back
Again theses are some of my thoughts. I am beginning to believe that we are about to face in some form not only prison and drugs, but some form of mass genocide here in the united states. The united states no longer has use for us. Before they could exploit us and use us for cheap labor etc. but look at the job market today look at the factories they are now filled with others not blacks, with the constant flow of immigrants from Mexico etc. there is no longer a need for the Black male in america only to fill the jail cells and use them for telemarketing behind bars etc. Again I believe very strongly down in my soul that this USof A is no place for us. I am believing more and more we need to make a mass exodus from this place. I feel that with desperation in my heart. the more I read and the more I learn this country holds no future for us. Especially those like myself uneducated and poor. And for those educated and seemingly economically stable they are only decieving themselves if they believe they are welcome here in this USof A those who control this country and those like it would like nothing more than to get rid of us they just haven't figured out a way to do it quickly. written by Ifaleye The one below was the beginning of these thoughts Saturday, July 24, 2004 1:08:37 AM My thoughts and hope as I lay in my bed. What my thoughts and hopes amout to is a vision, a vision of a unified Black People. A people who are organized a people who are self suffient. A people who have laid hold of there future and destiny. Or better yet a people who have taken control of their future and destiny. As I lay in my bed and ponder. I am faced with certain questions, questions like who am I as an american, Well if you look at our communities, our public services our police disricts. It should become obvious as an american I am considered nothing. But as a Black man living in America united with his people I am a force to be reckoned with.If you really want to get an ideal of how the ruling class in this country feels about you listen to this. Below you will find a speech that Bill Cosby's wife gave at a function. Everyone please read this and pass it on to as many African Americans you come in contact with. Camille Cosby just made a reference about the Voting Rights Act in her most recent open letter on racism. This is extremely important. We are quickly approaching the 21st Century and we were wondering, and when I say 'we', I mean others of us out there who wonder if everyone else out there knows what the significance of the year 2007 is to Black America? Did you know that our right to VOTE will expire in the year 2007? Seriously! The Voters Rights Act signed in 1965 by Lyndon B. Johnson was just an ACT. It was not made a law. In 1982, Ronald Reagan amended the Voters Rights Act for another 25 years. Which means that in the year 2007 we could lose the Right to vote! Does anyone realize that African Americans are the only group of people who require PERMISSION under the United States Constitution to vote! In the year 2007, Congress will once again convene to decide whether or not Blacks should retain the rights to vote (crazy but true). In order for this to be passed, 38 states will have to approve an extension. This is ludicrous! Not only should the extension be approved, but also the ACT must be made a law. Our right to vote should no longer be up for discussion, review and/or evaluation. We must contact our Congress-persons, Senators, Alderpersons, etc., to put a stop to this! As bona fide Citizens of the United States, we cannot "drop the ball" on this one! We have come too far to let government make us take such a huge step backward. So please, let us push forward to continue to build the momentum towards gaining equality. Please pass this onto others, as we are sure that many more individuals are not aware of this. I urge all of you that are able, to contact those in government that have your vote and make them aware of our combined concern for this issue. One voice!...... One Vote! You cannot complain, if you do not participate.....local, State, & national..... When I received this one I had no choice but to pass it on. Please do the same. So then how does that make you feel. Do you still feel like a full fledged american citizen. I don't I never have. But back to my thoughts I see us as a people nationwide taking control of our communities our resourses and wealth and building ourselfs up as a people. I see large supermarket chains owned by black buisnessmen in our communities I mean supermarket chains just as good or better than Dominics, Jewels etc. I see chains of department stores such as K Mart Wal mart Sears etc. in the black community owned by black buisnessmen. I see black buisnessmen making profit by there stores but I see them building the stores not only to make a profit but to raise us up as a people to provide decent jobs for our people I see Black owned banks working in the community. I see us as a people controlling our own destiny and future and this is one of the ways we will achieve it. I see us as a people no longer intimidated by the gestapo in our neighborhoods (corrupt police who don't care) I see us as a people who will no longer accept crime as a way of life in our communities. Either the police do thier jobs or we do it for them. I see young confused people who are full of rage being taught why they are full of rage and how to channel that rage into something positive to bring change to our communities. I see the drug kingpins not willing to leave us alone and I see the end for them because I see that if there not with us they are against us and must be dealt with. I see us as a strong people the people we have always been but maybe not aware. I see us being educated on who we are where we came from and hoe to get where we are going (academics) . But in order for this to happen me must unite together as one. I see the future. But I can't go by myself. Would you join me written by Ifaleye |
