Good morning people, 3

I got up this morning with an urge to get on my brand new Spinner, however, I came to my senses and realized that I don't need to exert THAT much energy.

So instead I went for girlie push ups and stretched for about 20 minutes. But that wasn't enough for me, so I went for a short walk in my neighborhood.

Anyway, NOW I'm gonna go play some music. . .

Have a great day everyone.

Lady,

I have really enjoyed reading all of your posts in this thread!!!

I know what you mean about the morning time! I love getting up early because it is so still and quiet...yes, like you, I can't stand much talking in the morning. It is such a PeaceFul time to get up, meditate, exercise and take the necessary time to "beautify" myself...lol.

After that, I wake up my lil rug rat, help him with his "quiet time", and make him breakfast while he's getting ready....THEN we start the rest of the day!

Hey, do you still get to the beach? I LOVE doing that! Actually, several of my coaches had us practice on the beach...so I hear you about the difficulty of walking on the beach when you are new to it...

Now imagine practicing V-Ball on it??? LOL...there's nothing like getting you ready for good Regular V-Ball than practicing on the beach!

Treadmill: lol....yes, placing near the backyard window is best! I always imagine that I am walking/running outside...

Hey, have you tried any dance DVD's??? Those are phenomenal! I started out with Belly Dance dvd's...after practicing those, I started with Exotic Dance dvd's....then I got into Latin Dancing dvd's...I've also got an Alvin Ailey dance book that I follow...

Between the yogalates, the dance, breathing, power90 (aerobics) and the walking/running, there is so much variety to keep moving!

I will be posting some links when I start my blog!

Keep up the good work lady!

Greetings ShayaButHer, hug

What a pleasant surprise to see you here. . .thank you for the visit. Yep, I STILL love my early morning 'quiet time,' it prepares me for the rest of the day.

But WOW!

Practicing V-ball in the sand?!? Eek Now that's work. ek

It takes me 2 days to recover from RUNNING in the sand. Gurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrl, you go gurl. tfro

In answer to your question, though, I haven't tried the dance videos yet. I'm part of a band that requires that I dance [sometimes], along with a few other things. . .

To stay current with the latest dance moves, I find it necessary to take classes periodically. . .

When I perform with the band, I mostly do hip hop, but my repertoire [hehehe] includes belly dancing, ballroom dancing, ballet & tap, and a form of African dance that I learned last year [for a gig we were doing].

I can tear UP a dance floor.....all night long, if need be. lol

That said. . .

I don't choose 'dance' as part of my exercise routine, I try to do something completely different. As you mentioned, there's so much variety out there to keep ya moving. I try to trick my body by 'changing up' every now & then. 3

Hey now, it seems you & I are kindred spirits when it comes to exercising & early morning quiet time. That's cool. tfro

You, too, keep up the good work. 4

I look forward to your blog. appl

I definitely UnderStand that!!! That is the key to keep exercising from becoming boring...

That IS cool! It's hard to find people who like to get up in the morning! You can get so much done in the morning before EveryBody gets up...it's like being in on a big secret! LOL...

Good morning peeps Smile

It's almost 8am in my neck of the woods (as I type this) and I'm ready to start my day.

Actually, my day started about 430am (this morning) with 45 minutes on the treadmill, 15 minutes of stretching and 15 minutes of meditation.

It's a beautiful day out there, and it looks like us folks (on the west coast) have another warm one ahead of us.

And, despite having somewhat of a cold (watery eyes, and a slight sore throat) Eek, I feel great and ready to tackle the rest of my day.

Today, I realize (even more so) ... how important it is to put in the time for exercise, personal quiet time & reflection. . .

Without a doubt, it makes all the difference in the world. tfro

Anyway. . .

Have a great day people 16

my thought for the day. . .

As difficult as it may be at times, let's all TRY to be good to one another. I'm sure 'somebody' 'somewhere' will appreciate the gesture AND the effort.

Well, that's what *I* plan to do 4
