One that comes to mind right now is, people who stand TOO close to you while standing in a line (at the grocery store, post office, where ever)

No. 1: The saying that, "Two wrongs don't make a right." I'm always tempted to reply, "But three lefts do."

No. 2: The saying, "I'll try and do this." I can hear my 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Mancini, sister of Henry Mancini by the way, screaming, "I'll try to to do this."

No. 3 And now that sunnubian mentioned it: People who stand so close when their talking to you that you can feel their breath on your face.

BACK OFF!!

You did say "insignificant."

You don't HAVE to drink that milk!!!

This could get deep.

The "Yes, but" mentality.

This is a great day! Yes, but just wait until later.

This road is sure smooth since the resurfacing. Yes, but wait until you get to where the resurfacing ends.

Boy, I sure feel good. Yes, but do think that will last.

Oooops! Len, I hadn't read your post.

PEACE

Another pet peeve: people saying, "get in where you fit in" - I feel tempted to replie, you can fit into a sewer or an elephant's ass. Who started this "settle for" phrase?

The phrase "same difference". What the hell does that mean? How about when people mention the liberry, instead of the library. Get me the gun now. White people who call you brother, had to put that one in.

Apostrophes and hyphens in kids' names these days, like Shar'Dazia.

When the lower back flab protrudes too far on a (usually white) woman who's wearing those low-rise pants that are popular now.

Here is another one of mine. Stupid Idiots who block the entire street so that no one can get by them so that they can stop to yak at their friends. Did it ever dawn on them to pull over and park it out of the way and yak their heads off. I have seen too many ill mannered people doing this. This is how to really set me off.

white women in any store with carts. Do white women think they own ALL of Every aisle in the grocery store? Why can't they say excuse me? I have recurrent nightmares of beating down a white woman in a grocery store because yet again, one has bumped into me and failed to utter "excuse me" upset

My pet peeve is that white folks input their opinion where it doesn't belong. For example, when they insert their opinions to black people and no one asks for it. That sets me in a "go off on you" mood. They should worry about what's going on in their communities instead of ours!

BTW, my former babysitter almost got into a fight with a woman at the grocery store behind that! When she told me about it I just laughed my head off!

Our people have made the mistake of confusing the methods with the objectives. As long as we agree on objectives, we should never fall out with each other just because we believe in different methods, or tactics, or strategy. We have to keep in mind at all times that we are not fighting for separation. We are fighting for recognition as free humans in this society
