 My current peeve is: going to a Pilates class and expecting to see a trim/fit instructor...but! Instead finding a chunky, chumby and obviously on her way to being obesed white woman with long white/blonde braids down to her behind She said arrogantly as she kept flipping her braids off her face , "I used to be 87 pounds but my family genes kicked in." As a runner, I am constantly involved in body conditioning, weight training, etc in an effort to keep my body strong and fit as I approach my golden years.. As we all know, Pilates classes ARE NOT cheap...so when I saw homegirl stand before the class talking [I thought she was a student], I was ABSOLUTELY floored  She said she also taught belly dancing and yoga as well. Don't believe her Well.... she could be all that but she is definitely eating all the WRONG foods while she is instructing. Cuz I do not see any nutritional evidence of her taking care of herself. She EVEN said, "Since I have all these classes...there is very little time to eat...so you may see me snacking/eating during the sessions." Am I going to continue this class? Hell to the Nawl |

'Cause it seems to me that if you replace the word "caveman" with the the N-word, there would be very little change in those commercials, outside of casting. I've seen the newer ones where the cavemen rode on motorcycles to talk to some modern human chicks, and they saw a GEICO caveman billboard, and instead of ignoring the billboard, they just went back to their bikes. Dudes, you could've at least gotten their phone numbers. I remember watching an episode of "Cavemen" and they had a "cavewoman" on the show, who was really confrontational, and very physically stronger compared to the other women on the show...Hmm, a caveman who doesn't like slurs about prehistoric past shows and a cavewoman who is confrontational around non-cavewomen, has an "attitude" and she's very "strong"...Coincidence? What purpose does it serve? 3. wrong-way drivers: Anyone who's been in Houston at least a day should know about the one-way streets. Do you not see all the parked cars facing the OPPOSITE direction? Have you noticed there is NO yellow line down the middle? Those two things in concert with my headlights coming TOWARDS you should be a clue, no? 4. dumb-@ss drivers in general: No! The center lane on a 3-lane street is NOT a turning lane. 5. lazy bastiges at CenterPoint (the gas part) that don't want to get out of their truck: Sent me a letter saying they've been guesstimating my bill because my meter is inaccessible. Meter is in the same place it's been for the previous two years they've been reading it. It's visible from the street for cryin' out loud!  ----- Edit: Centerpoint has been vindicated. The letter was a mistake due to Hurricane Ike. A thousand apologies to anyone from Centerpoint.

I have all these peeves but the peeve thread is never up when I have my peeves on my mind. But it's always right there in my face when I've forgotten my peeves of the week.
Oh, wait.... I hate when Jay Anthony Brown and Tom Joyner laugh at a dumbass joke. What really makes me start changing the station is when they keep laughing long after the dumbass joke was told--acting like they forgot there are millions of listeners waiting in morning commute traffic for them to get on with the damn show. I love me some Steve Harvey but what makes me not want to hear Steve anymore for the rest of his broadcast is when he comes up with all these dumbass characters to fill up air time, like the studdering dude, the church lady, the homosexual, and all them other crazy ass characters him and Tommy slip into. People that drive around with "Palin Power" stickers on their car. We know you are either dumb as fuck or you just don't get it or both.
