In my opinion, there are some profound statements made by members on this board. If you feel the same, share the members quote. Or share 'your' own words (quote).

Also, this thread is not to make anyone feel slighted. It's just that sometimes people will write statements that will register or stick with you personally. And this is a way to show appreciation to a fellow member.

"Picture two camps...one where you get a lot of push back and negativity about what you can't do, and what you're not doing, how you're not good for anything...and the other camp where you may get some constructive criticism, some loving pushing, some support and encouragement when you fail, but all in all you know those in the camp want to see you succeed. "I am not defined by anyone or anything else in this world. I am unique, I am an individual. And so is everyone else. I may share similarities with a few or a million people. So we must remember that both black men and black women were victims and still suffer the psychological scars. To assert that black american women accept loneliness as a trade-off for the illusion of power and strength is the same as asserting that the thirsty traveler relishes a glass of stagnant water." -NegroSpiritual

Len,
Of all of the comments and quotes from the members on this board, the 'thing' that has stuck with me the most has been your consistent positivity and good advice{ the reply about hairweaves on children comes to mind!! Smile}. How nice of you to have a thread like this.

Faith, thanks for your kind words. There are all sorts’ of nuggets of wisdom and inspiration on AA.org IMO. That is what has kept me coming back to read.

This thread is my way of letting you all know that somebody is listening to your words, and the meaning of your words affect others.

Hopefully more members are encouraged to speak their voice.

Thanks MBM.

Len,

The only thing I really have to add to this thread is that what Faith said about you is so very true! Smile

But it's true not only about you, but about her as well! You two are a true inspiration in positivity! Big Grin

The only thing .... neither of you post as much as you should! Razz Razz Maybe if you posted more, it would keep me calmer from going so far off on my little rantings! broscream

Yes, Len, you are a jewel.

It makes me realize that I don't do nearly enough to let members know how much I appreciate them. There are a lot of people who post here who individually would singlehandedly make this a great site to visit. Together, you all keep me coming back, super-slow connection and all, no matter what. Thanks for taking some effort to recognize some of their contributions, and in doing so, showing yet again why you, yourself, make me proud to be a member.

Thanks EbonyRose, and I agree it would be nice to hear more from Faith. As I once stated I enjoy reading her perspective. I also appreciate your courteous interaction, insight, and perspective as well. Keep being you. thumbsup

Vox, thanks for the kind words, I too feel it’s some great minds and personalities that contribute to this site, you being one. I also appreciate your courtesy and always enjoy reading your perspective. If I had half your brains I’d be dangerous.
