When you want your parents' advice on something.

Do justly, now. Love mercy, now. Walk humbly, now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it.

You can't find me nowhere
Come on over to the front of the bus
I'll be riding up there

When you make it a point to educate the young folks about every sample in hip-hop jams. You say stuff like, "You know that's (insert classic old-school soul/R&B/funk group or artist here), right? You didn't think (insert current hip-hop artist here) wrote that music, did you?!

When you can make a comment regarding a conversation your parents are having and aren't told to "Stay out of grown folks business."

When little kids say, "Wow, you're that old."

When you put your feet on the couch and don't get yelled at.

When you get excited because gas is only 3.09. My bad I just got excited again gas is only 3.07 here...Oh yeah, oh yeah.

What's really messed up, is when you get frustrated that when you hear the original track of a favorite song, until you hear some inarticulate rapper-come-lately du jour just mess up the whole damn song (i.e. this new song of some nameless rapper who sampled Janet Jackson's "Come Back To Me" and just grunted all over the instrumental version of the original song). How in the hell can you mess up a sample?
