I haven't tithed regularly in years, but I have no objections to tithing in itself, just the abuse of it in recent years. I've recently found a home church where I feel secure in where my money is going, and I will most probably start putting monies in the plate once I start my new job. My only regret is that I won't have more to give. It's not about what it will do for me. I don't know what if anything it will. But it would be good for the church. If you miss me at the back of the bus You can't find me nowhere Come on over to the front of the bus I'll be riding up there -Seeger Don't Talk. DONATE! |

My family partakes in tithing in various ways...giving to the community and single parent households is a regular activity for myself and my son.
We try to help others with food, utility bills, bus passes to get back and forth to work, clothing and the like. I agree that it is not about what it does for my family, because I am aware that even with our efforts, the needs are so great. We are always wishing we could do more and try to come up with creative ways to help meet the needs. "WIAW!" "Don't talk about it: BE ABOUT IT!" "To BE One, ASK ONE!" -OES |
