1. Though I speak with the tongues of men and angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal; 2. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could move mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing; 3. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

Hey, those are good ones. Smile My favorite can be found in the book of Corinthians too.

1 Corinthians 10:13

No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

The Black Philosopher,
It simply is the metaphysical structure of the European, He is a God, and he doesn't have an ounce, a lick of mystic power.
It is an imperfection for a white man, a God, to have mystic power, since the Black man is the Master since he created the universe.

You still want us to worship you a white man, God, who doesn't have any mystic power.

THE SECRET OF BLACK WORSHIP OF WHITE MAN, GOD.
Since the black man is the master and he created the universe if he knells before you you are extinct. Since he is the master, HE KNELLS BEFORE NO ONE. We worship you white people, you God and Goddess, WHO DOESN'T HAVE ANY MYSTIC POWER as a guarantee that you all WILL BECOME EXTINCT! It is inevitable. You brainwash us when we come in now since we created the universe, and we worship you Gods and Goddesses, white people, who don't have any mystic power as a guarantee that you all will be extinct. Which you see happening right now! Since the Black man created the universe He is the master, so he has to DESTROY YOU IF HE KNELLS BEFORE YOU, SINCE THE UNIVERSE IS PERFECT AND CANNOT BE DESTROYED. You still think you all created it!

STILL WANT US TO WORSHIP YOU!

Actually I have several favorite biblical verses. Here are some samples:

"And the lord repented of evil" - 2 Sam 24:16

"Yahweh your Lord is a mighty God and terrible" (Deut. 7: 21, 10:17, Dan 9:4).

"Therefore in your midst fathers will eat their children, and children will eat their fathers" - Ezekiel 5:10

"I (Yahweh) gave them laws that were not good, and laws they could not live by, and I defiled them through their very gifts - the sacrifice of every firstnorn - that I might fill them with horror, so that they would know that I am the lord" - Ezekiel 20:25-26.

"I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, PUNISHING THE CHILDREN FOR THE SINS OF THE FATHERS TO THE 3RD & 4TH GENERATION of those who hate me" - Exodus 20:5. See also Isaiah 14:21.

Thus says the LORD, 'Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes, and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun" - 2 Sam 12:11-12

Naf,

IMHO, your post is highly disrespectful of those who believe differently than you and quite frankly, unnecessarily juvenile. nono I'm sure out of the 88 books of the Bible, you have found one uplifting, inspiratual verse.

Peace....

This is one of my favorites:

13: And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves,
14: And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

Ezekial 37

Whirling Moat

"Old fool! This is my hour. Do you not know Death when you see it? Die now and curse in vain!" And with that he lifted high his sword and flames ran down the blade.

Dear Kweli4real,
I did not write the bible, I only quoted from it. Any aggrieved Christian who feels disrespected or offended by my quotes from your Bible, should address his/her outrage at the authors/translators of the Bible...not me.
With regards to inspiration...as a proud African, I have our rich ancestral spiritual traditions to draw upon. I don't need the asinine drivel in your Bible, which you insultingly ascribe to our creator.

This may not aply fully... But my favorite Judeo/X-tian 'verse' isn't from the Bible, it's from the Kebra Negast(Ethiopian book of the Holy Kings)

"Prince and princess shall come out of Egypt".

Anther Judeo/X-tian verse I liked was...

"They will come in my name, but are not of me."

I can't remember what this is located in though... I thinn it may be an apocryphal text.

I would say that it counts: The corresponding text in the Hebrew Bible is from Psalm 68:31 -
"Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God." KJV

The last resembles Matthew 24:5 in Matthew's mini-apocalypse. Starting at vs. 1:

[1] And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
[2] And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
[3] And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
[4] And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
[5] For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. KJV

"Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it. Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets." [Matt22:37-40]

This is something that puzzles me and at the same time challenges me.

Psalm 19: 7-10

7 - The Torah of Yahweh is perfect,bringing back the being; The witness of Yahweh is trustworthy, making wise the simple;

8 - The orders of Yahweh are straight, rejoicing the heart; The command of Yahweh is clear, enlightening the eyes;

9 - The fear of Yahweh is clean, standing forever; The right-rulings of Yahweh are true, They are righteous altogether,

10 - More desirable than gold, Than much fine gold; And sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.
