Many still "think" that the Egyptian concept of Theosophy was polytheistic. It was not. There are many references to this fact. Below I list one "European" source -- a scarce commodity.
"...A few words will suffice to give a true and complete idea of the Egyptian religion. It was purely monotheistic, and manifested itself externally by a symbolic polytheism..." -- Jacques-Joseph Champollion-Figeac (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacques_Joseph_Champollion-Figeac) It was his brother Jean-Francois Champollion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jean_Francois_Champollion) who cracked the "hieroglyphic" code. |

Panentheism Egungun, Egungun ni t'aiye ati jo! Ancestos, Ancestors come to earth and dance! "I'm sick of the war and the civilization that created it. Let's look to our dreams, and the magical; to the creations of the so-called primitive peoples for new inspirations." - Jaques Vache and Andre Breton "Capitalism is the astounding belief that the most wickedest of men will do the most wickedest of things for the greatest good of everyone." -John Maynard "You know that in our country there were even matriarchal societies where women were the most important element. On the Bijagos islands they had queens. They were not queens because they were the daughters of kings. They had queens succeeding queens. The religious leaders were women too..." -- Amilcar Cabral, Return to the Source, 1973 |

YW, Oshun!
How right you are! I certainly appreciate the link. I "pretty much" de-test anything of Greek origin. Mainly, because I know every thing Greece knows it culled for the "Northeast" corner of Civilization ~ Egypt/Ta=Meri.

Khalliqa(another poster on this site) introduced the term to me...

but i followed the panentheism link and saw this: "North American Indians were and still are largely panentheistic, conceiving of God as both immanent in Creation and transcendent from it. (Indian writers have also translated the word for God as the Great Mystery [2] or as the Sacred Other])" and it reminded me of a Native American song on my MP3 player called "Come To Me Oh Great Mystery" that is both beautiful and haunting. Kool When we speak we are afraid our words will not be heard or welcomed. But when we are silent, we are still afraid. So it is better to speak Audre Lord |

I discern that at that time in history we were in a state of "inforced" dementia.
However, I do agree with your response.
